Why does it cost money?
Each complex route involves costly geographic computation (sometimes with AI-based reasoning) and external integrations like OpenAI, Google Maps API. Your plan or top-up helps cover server energy consumption, API fees, and infrastructure. Currently, pricing is designed to simply cover costs — no profit. To learn more, visit the About page.

About WayGenAI →
What counts as a complex route?
A “complex route” is considered the benchmark case, utilizing the full extent of heavy computational processing and third-party integrations: it includes the maximum possible number of intermediate waypoints (consisting entirely of abstract waypoints), additional special constraints or styles, and a final destination as a POI with layered filtering. In practice, typical user routes almost never approach this benchmark level of complexity.
What is a simple route?
A simple route is a straightforward A→B (optionally A→B→C) with minimal processing and no abstract points. Typical use rarely hits heavy computation here.
What is an abstract point?
An abstract point is not a specific address — it’s a concept like “beautiful viewpoint”, “quiet area with trees”, or “best photo spot”. These require AI reasoning and external data to convert into actual locations.
How does AI help generate routes?
Our AI understands your intent like a human would, finds matching real-world locations (even if they start as abstract ideas), and builds optimized, ready-to-follow routes using smart algorithms and mapping APIs.
What are “variations per generation”?
If your destination is abstract (e.g., “a beautiful park near Lisbon”), our AI explores multiple real-world candidates and generates up to 3 different route options — each with a unique final destination that fits your query.
How does Fair Use work?
We monitor unusually high or automated usage. Typical human usage is fine. If your volume spikes beyond normal patterns, we may ask you to switch to a custom plan.
Is generation speed the same across plans?
Yes. Plans differ by monthly capacity and history window, not speed or priority support.
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
You can top up your balance to increase your energy, choose a paid plan or just wait for your monthly quota to reset.
Can I buy top-ups?
Yes, top-ups are available on any plan and apply immediately.
Do unused complex routes roll over?
No, monthly allocations reset on your billing date.
Do you store my routes forever?
No, your visible History depends on plan: Free 90 days, Pathfinder 1 year, Trailblazer unlimited. Older items are archived.
What is Early Access?
Paid plans may get features earlier while we’re rolling them out. It doesn’t affect speed or quotas.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel automatic renewal at any time. Your plan will normally remain active until the end of the current billed period.
Can I request a refund within 14 days?
Eligible consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days. Eligibility and any applicable exceptions are governed by our Terms and Conditions. To learn how to submit a request, visit the Withdrawal Request page.
